For the past few years, my New Year’s Resolution has been to run the Grafton Gazebo Road Race. Of course running a race is not as hard is preparing for a race. I also tend to be a fair-weather jogger, so I slack off in the wintertime and then get motivated again when the warm [...]

Anniversary
Yesterday was the 5th Anniversary of this blog. Who’d a thunk? When I first created this blog, the fun for me was figuring out how to run WordPress on my own server. I really didn’t have anything profound to say, but somehow I’ve managed to post consistently for 5 years. Happy Anniversary to me! Here’s [...]

The Menopause
Want to know what’s worse than this freezing cold New England weather? Hot flashes in the freezing cold weather. Man, I must be having a blast! This past Wednesday I celebrated my 52nd birthday. ‘Celebrated’ is probably not the right word. These days, birthdays tend to be more of a time for reflection, rather than party-time. Where have I been, where am I going and how the heck did I get to be 52 [...]
Fall Foliage on Grafton Common
November 8th and no blog posts so far this month. It’s been a bit busier than usual, which tends to happen with the holidays right around the corner. To be honest, I’m always glad when the holiday season is over. Life is already too busy without adding a bunch more things to do. I’ve also [...]
October Snow!?
I wouldn’t mind so much, except we had almost no summer and now fall is getting hijacked by winter. We also had some snow flurries on Friday. I hope this isn’t a sign of a rough winter ahead. It’s so much fun pushing wheelchairs through the ice and snow…NOT!
